Lush Cosmetics Charity Pot Hand and Body Lotion

This dinky little pot was a purse breaking £1 from Lush, I jest, I jest! This is one of their little samples by the tils to try to lure us into buying more, I normally say no but I was feeling nice that day! No but really all of the money spend on these goes to charity, hence the name Charity Pot.

This is a hand and body lotion and is so conventient in its little pot, especially for travel... Yup this might be coming with me! It's quite a thin consistancany compared to the other body lotions I favour but it makes up for it in smell. It smells aromatherapy-y haha! Which I think will be lovely for the plane!

Why not check one out next time your at the till? Thanks for reading!

Rituals Brilliant Bliss Ultra-shine Shampoo and Shikakai Secret Ultra-shine Conditioner

These two are my favourite product I have ever tried from Rituals, so much so that it is also the only product from this brand that I have ever repurchased! And it is firstly for the amazing fragrance of these bad boys! It is in the beautiful Indian rose and Shikakai scent. Which I literally cannot stop sniffing my hair whenever I use this!

This shampoo and conditioner duo claims to give your hair an ultra-shine and be incredibly nourishing, which seriously this does give my hair. Love it. My hair also feels somehow lighter after using this, and also it drys quicker... It's my current 'treat shampoo and conditioner' sad eh!? But I legit love them so much I don't wanna just use them all up fast! Seriously try these! Even if it's just for the amazing smell and mega shine it even gives to my lovely dyed, dull, dry hair!

You may have realised that it's a Sunday and this is the normal longer Sunday post! Now this is because I'm flighting to Florida on Wednesday therefore my longer post will be on my packing!! Until next time!

Lush Costmetics Mask of Magnaminty Face and Back Pack

This is the beautiful Mask of Magnaminty from Lush Cosmetics, and it's one of my long term beauty favourites! (For nearly 10 years!!! WHUT?!?). It is primarily for the treatment of problematic blemished or blemish prone skin, and it's a god send.

On the website it is marketed as being able to be used 'anywhere you like' but on the pot it says for face and back and this is exactly where I use it! It has lovely ingredients in;

Peppermint oil in which slightly stings the skin, nothing bad it just feels like it's working.
Marigold oil and chlorophyllin to treat the skin.
Evening primrose seeds and aduki beans to gently exfoliate as you remove it (love a good two in one product).
There’s also mineral rich kaolin to nourish, antibacterial honey, and peppermint oil that act together to stimulate the production on blood cells underneath the skin resulting in your skin looking lovely and fresh!

All natural and fabulous! I also love this as unlike the fresh face masks from Lush that only last a few weeks and you have to keep in the fridge (I find I forget about them sometimes) this can be kept in the cupboard and has a 6 month expiry date! Much more manageable!

Thank you for reading! I say go get some and get your green face on ;)!

Rituals Zensation foaming shower gel and Sakura Spring foaming shower oil

These two were gifted to me in this lovely little set when I spent over a certain amount at Rituals, pops. They are in the beautiful scent of rice milk and cherry blossom scent and it's always a plus that it is organic!

The one on the left is an oil and I love this for when my skin is very dry! And the one on the right is a foaming shower gel thingy! And it's (as well as great fun to use) lovely, although I don't like that you can't really tell how much is left in the can!

These are lovely and lux for a treat!

Thank you, as always for reading!

Lush Chou Chou I Love you

These cutely named toothy tabs from Lush are rose flavoured tooth tablets that are £2.95 but the lovely girl in my local store gave me some in the cutest pot ever to try out. And I can say they are pretty odd. Well you have the link in your head that when you brush your teeth it should be with mint. But this goes against the grain.

The idea with these is to crunch them between your teeth then get your toothbrush in there and clean those pins! It's a bit too chalk feeling for me to be honest.a nd not really my thing.

BUT I really enjoyed trying such a random (in my eyes) product and being able to review it for you guys for free too! Bargain!

Until tomorrow!

New Queen of... Shaving gel

This is indeed a new version of my holy grail shave product! It, as the other in the line, was  £2.99 from Superdrug and it's in my eyes a total winner. Also I have to take a moment to just say how utterly cute is the packaging? Oh yes.

This is advertised as being THE product you need to get sensually smoother skin, oh er! And it is in lovely tropical fragrance creamy coconut and vanilla, which reminds me of holidays and fun in the sun! Also excitingly this one is actually promoted for being 1. Formulated for sensitive skin! 2. Has aloe Vera in its formula. 3.Paraben free. Making it on paper even more friendly for sensitive skinned gals!

Go check this out! Also a tube lasts a liming long time so it's a good penny saver too!

Thank you for reading!

Solait Mattifying Face Fluid SPF 30.

This product from Solait is about £4.99 from Superdrug. I actually brought this about a month ago as I have been road testing this and the high end on from my post a couple of weeks ago. And although this is about a third of the full price of the other one I find that I much prefer this one! Just goes to show that it's not all about the price of items!

I used this under my makeup, instead if a moisturiser as I found that this was the best way to use it as an effective base without it making my foundation cakey or slide off my face. Lovely eh? But yes. So I think that this goes give a Mattifying look compared to normal sun creams with always leave that glory slightly white film or make you just look like a straight up chip pan. Which as I've said many times before is basically what I'm trying to avoid in life with my oily combo skin!

All in all I like this product and think that this will be my main form of facial (and ears, can't have them being burnt!) SPF.

Until next time!

My Easter Weekend!

I thought that I'd mix it up and share my lovely Easter time with you through the media of photographs...

Here are all of mums lovely decorations!

These were my Easter prezzies from my wonderful parents! They are amazing! (The presents and my parents ;))

That's my cute as hell Peter Rabbit Easter card from them!

This is Poppy my beautiful yet seemingly unimpressed springer spaniel!

And we had a lovely warm fire going, which was in contrast with the lovely sunny day but it was amazing in the chilly evening. Best of both worlds!

I hope that you have enjoyed this, I know it isn't the norm but I love doing little different lifestyle post sometimes! I feel it keeps things fresh! Also it's only 9 days until I fly to America (Florida) now hurray! And I thought that I might as well say now that I won't be posting daily, honestly I will probably have about 2-3 weeks off as the holiday is two weeks but the jet lag and amount of work I have to do for Uni after will be the bane of my life! But then I'm sure it will be all my American goodies! And who knows there might be a few sneaky haul posts going up when I'm there.... Exciting!

As always thank you for reading, It means a lot! Hope that you've had a lovely Easter where ever you are!

Lush Cosmetics Ickle Baby Bot Bath Ballistic

This lovely little guy is the Ickle Baby Bot Bath Ballistic and was only £1.95 and it's just Lush ;) geddit?

Anyway this is lavender scented it's amazingly relaxing! This sent me right to sleep, and did the job but turning the bath lovely and blue! Love this, does what it says on the tin and is quite cheap for Lush!

So I know it's Sunday and that's when I normally do my big weekly post but since it is bank holiday weekend and all things are Easter and fun I wanted to do a special tomorrow!!

See you tomorrow!

Clinique Take the day off Cleansing Balm

Oh wow. Now seriously this is sooooo nice. I much prefer it to the Body Shop cleansing butter but I am happy that I tried that out first... But this Take the Day Off cleansing balm form Clinique is amazing, and is £21.00 from Boots. It doesn't have a fragrance and I think that this is one of the main things I love about this balm.

The main thing that I love about this product though was the way my face looked after the first time I used it. Seriously I could not believe how much it improved the look of my skin. It looked more radiant, fresh and hydrated than I have ever seen it after using any cleanser I have used. I use about a 50 pence piece sized blob which is the perfect size for my face and then I warm it up in my fingers but rubbing it a bit then wack it on my face! Pink then simply massage it in taking about 1-2 mins, I've also been attempting to be a bit massagey when doing this to try to make it a more enjoyable step! And as I'm sure you know I'm always up for trying to get more lux at home with my normal products, gotta cheat the system sometimes! Haha!

Overall I would say if you love balm, please give this a go! It's amazing! And if you haven't tried a balm before then maybe give a cheaper one (like the body shop one) first as it does take some getting used to! I'm so glad that make up wipes aren't in my life otherwise than for flights and festivals as the skincare goddess Caroline Hirons says!

Thanks for reading!

Spring nail polish favourites!

These are my favourite spring nail varnishes of 2014! So here is the line up in order left to right in this photo;

Firstly Sinful Colours Professional nail polish in the colour Hazard, I love this slightly muted orange, this looks amazing on tanned skin.

Then Rimmel London Lasting Finish nail polish in Sweet as Sugar which is a beautiful pastel baby blue, I love this when my nails are a bit longer!

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Angel Wings is a fabulous iridescent colour which has potential to be built up and  looks lovely over other colours and as a signature nail.

Now the Revlon nail varnish in Minted is so lush, I love a good mint green! But this is the only one I own currently although I would like one that doesn't have an shimmer in as this one does.

Barry M Nail Paint Nail Effects Confetti in the colour Dolly Mixture is the ultimate fun spring and summer top coat, it's a confetti top coat with pink, blue and yellow pastel colours in it!

My favourite slightly darker offering for Spring is Topshop's NAILS nail varnish in Delusion I love this, and it even looks okay when my nails are super short which is kinda rare for a mid toned nail varnishes.

And finally my utter favourite Models Own Artstix duo polish in the colours Snow White and Ibiza Mix this looks amazing anytime, anywhere for anything!

Thanks for reading! Hope that this has inspirered some springtime nail antics.

Dove Purely Pampering Nourishing Lotions

I was so excited when I saw these beauties for 2 on offer at half price in Superdrug! And as I has said on my post where I reviewed the shower creams from the same line, I'd need after these as soon as I heard that they were on the market! So now to give my opinion on them...

The first is the one that is my current obsession and has taken pride of place on my dresser, and that is the almond cream and hibiscus scented one! This has a beautiful nutty yet floral scent that lingers for hours and my skin loves it! There is also the shea butter and warm vanilla fragranced one which reminds me of America and Christmas rolled into one lotiony parcel. Sounds odd but I assure you it smells like cinnamon buns! Then there is the lovely pistachio cream and magnolia scent which again is nutty yet floral, but I was worried that the pistachio would be too over powering but it's really not, it's yummy! And finally not forgetting the coconut milk and jasmine petals fragranced lotion, now this purely reminds me of a hot holiday in the sun! All the coconutty loveliness and the hint of gentle jasmine adds a lovely twist on the common coconut body lotion scent!

I totally recommend going and checking these out! Especially as they are currently on offer! Go go go! :)

Lush Cosmetics Madame Butterfly Reusable Bubble Bar

This amazing limited edition find from Lush is the Madame Butterfly Reusable Bubble Bar (which I think is £5.25ish) and it smells just like my favourite products from Lush Rose Jame and Ro's Argan Skin Condition.

I was so excited about this it's literally made my day when I found it! Well that and getting a good essay result ;). One of the best things about this is that you can get loads of uses out of it for your money and also it makes a lovely room freshened as it sticks around longer! I like to have it in my ensuite so it makes my room all lovely smelling. Although I will say that I think I prefer the rose jam bubbleroon but only because it colours the water more and my skin feels more conditioned and soft after it!

Thank you for having a look!

Dior Rouge Serum

My god this was a total bargain! I got this for £15 instead of £26.50 as a well done to myself for getting a job! The texture of this feels very smooth and like a hybrid of a balm/lipgloss/lipstick it goes on like butter and stays on well but not as well as some other lip products.

The colour is gorgeous, it is like a slightly more natural dark pink toned red then adds an extra oomph to any outfit, and acts as a great pick you up if you're feeling a bit crap!

This was a amazing little treat to myself, and I'm really enjoying it! I would totally recommend it for a treat or for a special occasion.

Thanks for having a little read and see you tomorrow!

Some other Rituals favourites of mine

I got these three mini beauties in a value kit from a rituals shop in Lakeside shopping centre in Essex and this is one of the best kits I've ever brought as it allowed me to try lots of things! Which is one of my favourite things to do and a reason I am so excited for Sephora and Utla in America!

The Honey Touch rich and nourishing body cream in Indian rose and himalaya honey is just beautiful. I love using body creams in the same scent as. Your shower gel as it intensifies it and you don't feel that your wasting the shower gel scent if you know what I mean?! This sinks in fast and the fragrance lasts all day! Perfect for when I feel a body butter would be too heavy on my skin.

Yogi Flow foaming shower gel sensation in Indian rose and sweet almond oil is also just lovely, and I love the fact that it foams, maybe it's just a gimmick but it's awesome and has the same amazing fragrance that I love the most!

And finally now I haven't ventured much the world of scrubs (I tend to stick with my favorite Soap and Glory one) but the Himalaya Wisdom holy basil and organic fresh mint detox Himalaya salt scrub is very nice! Especially as I thought it wouldn't be... I think it was the word basil that put me off! But thoroughly recommend giving this a go! Also I found that it was a very different kind of scrub to what I normally use and I loved mixing it up! I'm now looking for a cheaper dupe, or should I say I will be when my other scrub runs out as I'm all about the saving at the moment!

Thanks for having a browse! Hope you've enjoyed this post!

Clinique Superprimer for colour correcting redness

I brought this as I was looking for something to help compact my redness during job interviews as my natural reflex seems to be to turn into a tomato! This was £20 and I got mine from good old Boots.

When I first heard about this I thought that there was no way it could actually work and that it must be just a money wasting gimmick. But by god was I wrong! This works so well to combat my blushing and I also used it on my chest as that also where I seem to flush, A LOT. This comes out the same colour as the bottle, a scary looking yellow, but turns invisible when rubbed in gently. But it is this about it that holds it's colour correcting qualities and just simply does the job.

I would more than recommend this to anyone that has blushing/flushing issues like myself!

Thank you for taking the time to read!

Doves best offerings!

Here are some of my favourites from Dove!

Dove creme mousse with claims to be a hypoallergenic body wash that is full of rich and creamy nourishment. And this is one of my favourite shower products hands down, and it has been for years! It's one of the things that doesn't flair up my now quite sensitive skin on my arms.

Doves purely pampering nourishing body wash in Shea butter and warm vanilla is utterly go rogues and the smell really reminds me of a body lotion or body butter. I also love their purely pampering one that has hibiscus flower in, and they also have that in a body lotion that I really wanted to pick up but I just can't justify it at the moment as I don't need it!

Hope you've enjoyed this! I now want to go and have a shower haha!

La Roche-Posay 50+ Anthelios XL Dry touch Gel-cream

So I have been trialling two different facial sun protectants, therefore today is the first review of these! So I'm going for the high end offering first... This product is from La Roche-Posay a lovely French brand that is famous for its skincare. (I think is around the £16 pound mark, but I got it on sale for £3! Bargin!)

This product is lovely and light feeling when dry but it does take a while to sink into the skin so that should be beared in mind! There is no real smell, well maybe a bit but nothing that hits me when I try to describe it!

I like this product but I think that the other I am trialling might be the overal winner but let's not speak too soon...

Until next time!

Lee Stafford- Poker Straight flat iron protection and Dry Shampoo

Today I would like to talk about two of the Lee Stafford products. Overall I have tried quite a lot of the Lee Stafford products and there seem to be a good mix of hits and misses! Okay let's get on with it! (Also both of these items are under £2-3 pound, I got them with something else on a 3 for 2 deal on all travel sized items. Worth a look? As it's a good way to try out new products).

Firstly the Poker straight flat iron protection shine mist is the one on the left. I admittedly use it purely as a heat protectant and not for it's 'ability' to keep my hair straight. Also I normally am curling my hair with it!i don't really like the smell of this... But I can't pin point why! Otherwise it does the job and comes in this lovely little travel size.

The Dry shampoo (the original one) is LOVELY. I used the dark brown coloured one for ages when I was younger and I had forgotten how go this was as a functioning product. It visibly makes your hair look much better... But again the smell isn't my favourite. But I feel how good the product is makes this a bit more bearable!

Thanks you very much for reading!

Boots Botanics- Pore Clay Mask; Shine Away

This lovely face mask is only £6.99 from Boots. And it's one of those products that is loved my beauty gurus/bloggers throughout the UK. Therefore when I went to finally try it I did have high hopes! But they were in good stead as it turned out to be fab.

When you put this on you do look a tad scary, so I wouldn't recommend doing it around people! But it feels lovely and fresh when washed off and I do think that you can see that shine is visibly reduced the day after it is used. I have found though that you shouldn't use it more that 2-3 times a week, or at least I can't!!! It claims to reduce pores, which I haven't seen any difference personally but I overalls love the way it leaves my skin feeling.

For the price, amount you get and usability of the product I say go try it out!

See you tomorrow!

Collection Eyeshadow Pencil's

These little beauties were one of my best finds of last year and honestly I don't know why I have waited so long to feature them. As you can see I've used the black one the most. Also I will confess that I seem to have neglected these for a good few months, but I have really enjoyed rediscovering them.

They are £2.99 from Collection, which in the UK you can find them in Boots, Superdrug and most supermarkets, also they often have buy one get one free or buy one get one half price deals.

They have amazing pigmentation and a good range of colours, and I can honestly say that they are waterproof and last so well! I use these one their own straight from the pencil and I either leave it how it is or blend them out with my finger or rarely a brush. They work incredibly well as a base or eye shadows too, which is the way I mostly use mine, also they make going out on a night out make up last all night. No smudges or mishaps.

And quickly before I go I just remembered that one of my friends asked me for my opinion to what black eye liners actually last in the waterline all day and I said the black from this collection. Although I did also add that because it has a bit of glitter in it could be a bit scratchy, it's never bothered me, but it's something to consider. I've also heard that the black version of my beloved bronze Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyepencil is suppose to stay in the waterline well... So maybe that will be on the hit list at some point!

Thanks ever so much for reading! Until tomorrow with my big Sunday post!

Boots No7 Makeup Brush Cleanser

This is from Boots Number 7 and is £8.00, which I think it way too much. First thing that I noticed was the smell. It's very alcoholy and I really don't like it, but luckily I have found that the smell goes as you allow it to dry. Although I do like that it has a pump.

This is a quick one really as I would say don't bother getting this. I much prefer the result when I wash my brushes with some clarifying shampoo. Simple pimple.

See you tomorrow!

Body Shop Honeymania Eau de Toliette

This Eau de toilette from the Body Shop is lush and it's only £8.50 and is ideally handbag sized! It's Honey scented and I think it does smell a bit like conventional 'honey' but it focuses a lot more on integrating the floral aspects of the honey smell too, in order to formulate a beautiful everyday scent.

I like to use this as an everyday scent on the days where I want something a bit sweet. It has quite good lasting power, easily lasting 10 hours but after this you may need to reapply but for such little money that's find in my eyes!

I really want to try out more of the Honeymania line, especially the body butter! I really have my eye on that bad boy!

As always thank you very much for reading! And see you tomorrow!

Clinique 7 Day Scrub Cream

This beauty from Clinque is their 7 Day Scrub Cream and at £18.50 it is well worth it. I've had a love hate relationship with scrubs and exfoliators as long as I can remember, either finding that they do nothing for feel like they are scratching my skin off! Therefore this special formula that is made to gentle enough to use everyday yet still effective sounds perfect. And it is. I would go as far to say as it's a borderline new obsession!

This product has a lovely clean smell (sorry I'm rubbish at describing smells that aren't clearly defined) so it adds to the physical feeling of getting your skin clean and exfoliated. I find that I can happily use this everyday and have no issues, so I've been getting really into the manual exfoliation instead of just me Murad chemical exfoliator. I just purely really enjoyed actually scrubbing my skin, I'm aware this might sound weird but yeah. And importantly it's an extra step that I welcome I to my routine!

This is great for all of you wanting to step things up and get your skin ready for the summer!

A big thank you and Bumble and Bumble; Thickening Hairspray, Shampoo and Conditioner.

Well firstly hurray! This is my 60th post! And I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who reads this blog and I hope you love it as much as I love doing it!

Now on to the good stuff! As normal I was being friendly talking to Boots staff and they gave me these exciting Bumble and Bumble samples for their thickening line. Which consequently was the line I was most interested in! So massive thumbs up there!

Obviously with the shampoo and conditioner I don't have enough for one application. But my word. It's lovely stuff!!! It did noticeably make my hair thicker, especially at the roots were it really needs it! I really want this in my life... Eek says my bank balance!

And the thickening hairspray was just as lovely, I really felt that it boosted my volume when used with normal hair products, but with the actual shampoo and conditioner in the same line it worked wonders on my thin hair! It looked mega volumised and actually stayed like it!

Overall massive thumbs up to Bumble and Bumble! You've made another fan!
