The best makeup brush cleaner I have ever used....

Dr Bronners Magic Soap In the Rose scent, is awesome. I use this as a brush cleaner and it's fabulous, so much better than anything I've ever tried before. It deep cleans my brushes easily, even the more compact cheaper brushes too, and I swear that my brushes dry faster when using this! I would recommend this to anyone who values their makeup brushes or wants to simply save some time!

Thank you for reading lovely!

Urban Decays Naked Flushed face palette in Streak

These are one of Urban Decays latest product releases, they have really been pushing the Naked line and have come up with four of these fantastic face palettes. I went for Streak as I felt like it was the most natural. So this palette is made up of a shimmery bronzer, amazingly powerful champagne highlighter (that's my fave shade of highlighter) and a lovely matte coral blush. All three together create a beautiful summery flush, and as you can see they all swatch really well and are buttery to the touch. This has been my go to for traveling, as it has that fabulous massive mirror and all of the colours just work, also to save space I have used the bronzer and highlighter on my eyes too and gosh it's pretty.

Thank you reading! Totally recommend this for anyone who likes an easy option and a whole face look being there for you to just swipe and blend on, or for anyone who regularly travels.

Summer 2014's Eye product superstars

Welcome to one of my most enjoyable posts to make, as I love eye shadows a ridiculous amount! So let's start with Tarte's Golden Days and Sultry Nights shadow palette which has been my summer staple, with two mattes Toes in the sand and Espadrilles which are perfect for a simple look and can easily be built on with the other shades. Now for the shimmery shades there is
Caparinha cocktails, the gold, and Oceanview the gorgeous turquoise blue and finally the beautifully rich golden brown Tropical sunset. All of the shadows are very pigmented and you can create such a diverse amount of looks with this palette, I brought it in May but it is still availed from the Sephora website at the moment for around $35. Also I will add that the size of the pans is huge compared to my naked palettes so although you are getting less colours you get significantly more of them!

So onto my favourite mini palette to travel with, the Lorac Pocket Pro (which was $15 from Ulta). It has all you could need to create a full on smokey eye or simply just a wash of colour over the lid to keep things simple. All three colours are fabulously pigmented like pretty much all Lorac shadows are.
Nude is the satin cream colour, I love this for a simple wash of colour over the lids and a black cat eye, especially if I can't be bothered with blending colours. Pewter is also a satin and is amazing brown, I don't know what it is about the colour that I love so much but I use it to either pop in the crease to add diemension or if I'm going for an all out look then all ove the lid with Nude highlighting the inner corner of my eye. And finally Espresso, a lovely matte dark brown which I use mostly for defining my inner lash line (tip if you layer a dark shadow over a kohl pencil the pencil will stay in place all day!).

Stila's Magnificent Metals eye shadow in Kitten is my go to bit of glam. It adds a gorgeous shimmery wash of pinkish golden colour to the lids. I like to use this over the top of a light shadow to add that little something more for a night out look. Also I'm planning on trying it out with a brush sprited with Mac's Fix Plus soon to see what kind of finish I can get. I do love playing around!

Mac's All That Glitters has been my go to, one sweep wonder since I got it in May. I literally always take this with me when I travel as it is simple yet beautiful on my blue eyes and is so low maintained, literally I just swipe it on and add some eye liner and mascara. Job done. I will add that if you are in the business for buying an eye shadow at Mac of the first time or as a treat, GET THIS YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!!

Sephora's color-proof eyeliner in Navy Blue has been what I have been experimenting with colour with. I realised that I used to uses lot of colour on my eyes but since falling I love with my Naked palettes I have not really experimented much with colour. So this summer I was set on changing that so I picked up a lovely blue eyeliner. This eyeliner is coloured somewhere between a royal and navy blue and is helpfully waterproof, making it ideal for Britiains not summer this year! I like to pair this with  my Make Up Forever Aqua Eyes waterproof eyeliner pencil in a very similar shade of blue, they look fab together. I'm really glad I tried the blue eyeliner tread and no it does still look good even though I have blue eyes!

Well thank you very much for reading, I've really enjoyed putting this post together!

My latest no fuss eyeshadow combo; Mac

As the title suggests my newly found go to eye combo is Mac's Fix Plus and Mac's loses pigment in Vanilla, these two create a sleek shimmery eye look which is somehow multidimensional and means I can get away with not blending it out with a crease colour as it quite simply doesn't need it.
I simply spray a bit of the Fix Plus onto my flat eyeshadow brush, dip it into the pigment and then lightly pack it on and when it is mostly dry I pop a bit of dry shadow on top to set it.

I have these two products in the mini sizes so they are both £10 each, I love that Mac has started doing these smaller sizes, it means I can try more out for my money and let's be honest it will take me ages to go through even that lei title pot of loose pigment!

As ever thank you for reading, hope you've enjoyed it!

Blushing beauties

Thought I would do a few posts featuring all of my summer favourites in different makeup categories (hope that makes sense!).

So the two powder ones are Tatre's Amazonian clay 12 hour blushes in Exposed (the neutral pink) and Blissful (the coral). These are completely different colours yet both long lasting, natural looking and a dream to apply! Both buttery soft powders are matte in colour, although I think there might be a bit of something shimmery in Blissful, mostly as it is able to uplift my complexion with two quick swipes of a brush. And I love Exposed for its duel properties, well I like to use it when I'm lazy and can't be bothered to blush and bronze it up.., this does both in one!

The two little pots are Josie Maran's Coconut Watercolour Cheek Gelee's in Poppy Paradise (the big one) and Pink Escape (the little one). When I brought Poppy Paradise I did so purely on the recommendation of Viviannadoesmakeup, as I really trust her reviews, and I was not disappointment, although I was a bit wary of the bright red colour! But on the cheeks it looks lovely and I treated myself to a smaller version of another colour, this time I went for a bright pink and I love them. They bring such an easy pop of colour when blended into the cheeks with fingers or buffed with a small brush.

Finally the Josie Maran's Argan Color Stick in Pink Peony is the amazing rise gold packaged treat! I got this in a kit and it was purely a bonus. Until I tried it out and realised how amazing it was! (Also the actual Josie Maran liked my Instagram post of that kit- so happy about that!!!). The colour of this is literally the same as my natural flush, yet more perfected and luminous. I feel that if I ever look dull, overtired or ill I can pop this onto my cheeks with a quick sweep and blend with my fingers and I will automatically look more awake and radiant!

Since taking these photos I have also fallen in love with my Mac Extra Dimension blush in Seducted at Sea, which I have written a whole post about but I feel it's worth giving a shout out too now!

What have been your favourite blushes this summer?

New Nars addictions; Deep Throat blusher and Rikugien

So I thought it was about time to address these two products, which were part of a Sephora 500 point perk so they are minis (I have a travelsized addiction!) and are utterly fabulous. I have always wanted to try Nars products but without really having much to go on otherwise than internet recommendations and not having an py retails locally it would have been too much of an expensive risk. So when I saw this point perk at Sephora I had to have it. Full stop.

The kit had the wonderfully natural rikugien lip crayon which gives the lips a fabulous shine and wears off evenly with is always a plus! The blush is called Deep Throat (eek) and it's such a beautiful colour, weirdly this was the product I was least looking forward to trying out yet it is now the one I use the most and I can't wait to try another Nars blush one day! It's a pink blush with a tiny bit if gold in which gives the cheeks a naturally luminous glow.

I also got Laguna bronzer in the kit, and I can honestly say it was the best use of points ever, three delux samples and a sample of their eye shadow base (AMAZING).

Thanks for reading and hope you are enjoying seeing some different products!

Mac aquatic collection; Seduced at Sea.

This blush is just wow. Firstly the packaging is amazingly beautiful, being a metallic blue with actual raised clear droplets that replicate water all over it. (Not gonna lie that was about 40% of the reason I originally brought this.

So it's an Extra Dimension Blush in the shade Seduced at sea, which in the pan and in these photographs looks like a quite intimidating deep reddish pink. But on the skin it transfers as a beautifully natural colour, a one sweep wonder as such. I often, when running late, just pick this up, two swipes and I'm done and I don't vent bother with bronzer as this seems to have the natural depth in it that a bronzer would normally give.

Simply this was such a good buy, and I can't wait to try more of their extra dimension products in the future! Thank you, as always, for reading!
