Topshop's Gloss Ink Lipglosses

Topshop's makeup range just keeps getting larger, and better as well. My latest find was a recommendation from Fleur De Force, (if you don't know who she is, her YouTube channel and blog are well worth a scan over!) in the shape of their Gloss Ink lip glosses, £8.00 although if you're a student you get 10% discount, and I had a cheeky gift card for these left over from Christmas!

As I've mentioned before I'm not much of a gloss girl, preferring a highly pigmented lipstick any day. But I thought I'd give it a go as I loved the look of the one Fleur first picked up in the colour Cruel, a dark fuchsia pink that's so pigmented you can wear it without a lipstick underneath! So I got it too, as well as the cutely named Sugar Rush, which is a pinky coral in the tube. But I was disappointed when I put it on my lips. I put it straight onto moisture lips hoping it would be as pigmented as Cruel, but no, unfortunately there was hardly any colour pay off at all. Which was very disappointing! Also both colours are rather sticky, and being someone who isn't really a lover of that aspect of glosses it did irritate me, although with some tactile blotting things worked out fine.

Therefore I'd say that be careful when picking your colour in this range as they have mixed pay offs. But I utterly love Cruel and would recommend it to any gloss lover, but maybe not a gloss novice only because of the slightly sticky downside of the formula!

See you tomorrow!
